Plunking Project Budget
Example commercial structure for a DEVCO build engagement. This is sample website
material, not a binding quote. It shows how agent compute, implementation cadence,
and client choice of agent mix can be packaged into contract terms up front.
Scope
Agent-led specification, backlog formation, active implementation via plunking, monitored progress, and final human polish before delivery.
Control
Clients can have input on the agent stack used for the build, including local Ollama-heavy runs, Codex-led engineering passes, or Claude-supported planning/review.
Contracting
Compute budget is included as a line item in contract terms rather than treated as surprise overage later in the project.

Notes
Specification Sprint
$3,000 - $7,500
Requirements shaping, roadmap, delivery plan, risk review, and architecture framing.
Plunking Implementation Block
$8,000 - $40,000+
Parallel agent execution against the approved spec, milestone tracking, and monitored progress.
Local Ollama GPU Budget
$600 - $2,500 / month equivalent
GPU time for local model execution, usually best when privacy and long iterative loops matter.
Codex Usage Envelope
$500 - $4,000+
Best for implementation, refactors, code review, and disciplined repository work.
Claude Usage Envelope
$300 - $2,500+
Often used for planning, synthesis, editorial review, QA interpretation, and alternate implementation passes.
Final Human Polish
$1,500 - $8,000
Creative direction, prioritization, acceptance review, and release judgement.
How We Price Agent Mix
- Default recommendation is a blended stack: local Ollama for high-volume loops, Codex for engineering throughput, Claude for second-pass reasoning and review.
- Client may ask for a heavier Codex build, a more local-first Ollama posture, or a dual-model review lane if the project is high stakes.
- We scope model mix against budget, privacy requirements, expected iteration volume, and how visible you want the implementation process to be.
Sample Contract Language
- Agent compute budget is included within the agreement and allocated across planning, build execution, and review cycles.
- DEVCO retains discretion to rebalance model usage for throughput and quality unless the contract specifies a fixed stack.
- Client receives visibility into the plunking phase and may request model preference adjustments within the approved budget window.
